To experiment with Photoshop, our first task was to create a school magazine front cover. This gave me the oppourtunity to try out different tools such as the blending tools to alter the image colour to black and white, different fonts to emphasise different words and create a strking impact as well as different shapes to create a masthead. Although my front cover is missing a lot of key elements from a traditional magazine cover, this allowed me to think about the ideas behind them which I could develop in my final music magazine front cover.

To experiment with Photoshop, we created a school magazine contents page. This allowed me to experiment with different tools for the contents page and identify the different tools that will be useful for when I create my final music magazine contents page. When testing out different tools, I experimented with different text styles such as shadows, bevel and text layout which will help me experiment with the font more on my final contents page. This has also gave me the oppourtunity to think about the different features that I could include on my contents page.
